Faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word of Christ [Romans 10:17]

Now at Lystra there was a man sitting who could not use his feet. He was crippled from birth and had never walked. He listened to Paul speaking. And Paul, looking intently at him and seeing that he had faith to be made well, said in a loud voice, "Stand upright on your feet" And he sprang up and began walking. [Acts 14:8-10].

The above scripture illustrates a miraculous incident that took place when Paul was preaching about Christ at Lystra. When Paul saw the crippled man "listening" and his "faith" to be made well "through the word of God", He commanded 'Stand upright on your feet' and the crippled man sprang up and began walking.

Paul could have took him by the right hand and raised him up, in the name of Christ; like how Peter and John healed the lame beggar at the beautiful gate [Acts 3]. But here what made the crippled man well was – his faith – which he got from hearing and hearing the word of Christ.

So faith is very important. It can certainly help you win any battle. But if you want your faith to work and give a breakthrough, make sure that you are hearing and believing about “God through the word of Christ"

Today whatever may be your situation, I encourage you to keep hearing the word of God. Let the word of Christ dwell in you abundantly, through which you gain faith and it has got the enormous power to deliver you from any situations like sickness, fear, anxiety, worries, depression, hopelessness etc.

Let Gods miraculous works be done in your life through hearing Gods word.
