Does God Punish the Children for their Parent's Mistake? Ezekiel 18 1 - 20
The answer is straightforward, God will not punish the children for their parent's mistake. However, it's a question that challenge many, even the disciples of Jesus came to Him and asked, "Rabbi, who sinned this man or his parents, that he was born blind ?"
This is a misunderstanding of many that physical challenges are the direct result of parent's actions. but the Bible clarify it, Exodus 4 : 11 ; John 9 : 3 ; Luke 13 : 11, first of all, God is responsible for our make up, He knows our make up, because He is our maker and also satan can cause certain difficulties but God is sovereign over all, and He will loose the work of devil, in either way God's glory will be revealed.
Therefore, it's clear from the text, the soul who sins will die, not someone else, personal sin will be punished personally. we are responsible for our actions, our action leads to life or death, so our actions is a choice, so choose life not death.
