FREEDOM

We all want freedom in our life. But how many of you are careful in choosing true freedom and knowing the real meaning of it. Peter Marshall, an american preacher has mentioned in one of his famous quote "May we think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right".

Today if we talk about our present young generation, they want freedom in everything. Most of the youngsters do not like to be questioned or stopped from doing what they want. Many do not allow parents to interfere in their personal matters. Besides we see youths running away from hardships for freedom. Some quits family responsibilities for freedom. Many end their lives to set them free from struggles, debts and depression. Is this the freedom you are looking - as a solution in your life? Don't forget seeking such freedom has destroyed the lives of many youths around the globe. Running from your situations, escaping hardships and quitting responsibilities will never give you freedom in true terms. It’s all temporary solutions which will lead you into big trouble in future.

So now the question is from where and who could give us a real freedom? Remember what Jesus Christ has said “I had come to earth to proclaim freedom to all people” (Luke 4:18). Today I would like to encourage all my patient readers to accept the freedom what God has promised to you. The scripture says "if the Son (Jesus Christ) sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). Christ’s death on the cross set us free from all bondage of our life whether it is - sin, sickness, slavery, struggles or addiction. Allow this truth to rule your life. This will indeed help you to feel the presence of God with you even in the midst of whatsoever worst situations and hardships of your life. Christ has given us the freedom to call Him as our loving father and walk in relationship with Him. When you submit your life to Christ and holds on His promise, He will give you the freedom to use His wisdom, strength and peace to deal with the situations of your life.
