Abraham stood before the Lord and interceded for Sodom and Gomorrah which shows the impact of intercession. Though there were no righteous people yet God honoured Abraham and spared Lot and his family.
God calls Intercessors in all generation; " I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so that I would not have to destroy it, but found none. " ( Ezekiel 22 : 31 )
Similarly, this call of God we see in new testament also. Jesus said, " You are the light of the world. " God's people are called to give light to those who are in darkness. Thus, God's people are always an asset of a nation.
