PURE HEART AND GRACIOUS SPEECH

A pure heart and a gracious speech is what God loves to see in us. A pure heart is filled with goodness, kindness, gentleness and meekness. Only a pure heart filled with love and free of bitterness can produce gracious speech.

A king takes care of his country people but he is not a friend of all. It is not an easy task to please the king. But Solomon the great, wise and wealthy king ever lived says, a person with pure heart will have the king as his friend (Proverbs 22:11). In other words a man with gracious speech can win everybody’s heart. His speech will be peaceful and also acceptable to others.

Paul writes "let your speech always be gracious" (Colossians 4:6). People delights in the company of such gracious person. Our Lord Jesus Christ is a perfect example of graciousness. His speech not only healed the bodies but also the broken hearts. Another great king David sings about Jesus "Grace is poured upon your lips, therefore God has blessed you forever" (Psalms 45:2).
