What is God looking for ? Isaiah 66 : 2

Posted by Pastor Anish K. S (ICPF Manipal)

In these verses, God introduces himself, saying " Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me ? Where will be my resting place be ? Has

not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being ? "

Then he mentions about the kind of profile he is looking for. " He who is humble ", " He who

contrite in spirit, " and " He who trembles at his word. " This shows that anybody can become the one, God is looking for. It's just as simple as it is and when you come to him, you will find rest for your soul.

Jesus said, " Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will

find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Though God is so

great and mighty yet he just expects, a faith as simple as mustard seed, which can move the mountains.
